ACR Cares supports our Land, Community & Outreach Projects

We are committed to helping nature to re-establish itself in areas that have been invaded by alien plants. We do this by empowering local community members. We believe true community upliftment comes from upskilling and enabling people to build better lives for themselves and their families, while taking pride in the environment around them.

By employing and training local community members, and providing access to sustainably harvested wood, we reduce the pressure on indigenous trees in communal areas. The skills we teach are not just job skills; in a rural setting where emergency services can be hours away, they are life skills. Training covers chainsaw operation, First Aid, basic firefighting and Health & Safety. We also run environmental education and biosecurity workshops to help our community understand and protect the natural systems around them, including addressing the devastating impact of snares on local wildlife.

We focus on clearing invasive alien plants, snare sweeping and creating green opportunities that support sustainable livelihoods, enabling eco-entrepreneurship within our community.

Our project needs your support. Please help us continue this vital work.
